Helping to get this right

Rather than remain on the sidelines as constant critics of the current music scene, Brian and I have spearheaded the MP3 Lunatics’ decision to form a music label.

It’s called Fun Fun Fun Recordings.

Why would the Lunatics start a music company now?

Because:

  • There’s more great music than ever before
  • There are more ways to create and listen to music than ever before
  • There are more ways to buy music than ever before

What do the MP3 Lunatics want?

THE MP3 LUNATICS WISH LIST:

1. The MP3 Lunatics would like to see contemporary music return to its rightful status among the creative arts.

2. The MP3 Lunatics would like to see the recorded music industry regain its position as the premier filter of commercial music by respecting their fans, instead of short changing and suing them.

3. The MP3 Lunatics think radio should focus on music quality and stop acting like a billboard company promoting corporate music.

4. The MP3 Lunatics would like to see music journalism expand its position in music discovery and be given more respect.

5. The MP3 Lunatics would like to see the nation’s show promoters nurture and expose new talent, creating more value for ticket buyers.

6. The MP3 Lunatics would like to see music lovers worldwide use the Internet to reclaim the music industry from its current abyss.

Even though we’re MP3 Lunatics, we do realize that we have no direct control of items 1-5 on our wish list. But we DO have a plan to get #6 in motion. We will need music lovers everywhere to become a MP3 Lunatic for this moment in time to help us right this floundering ship… stay tuned!

Welcome!

Welcome to the MP3 Lunatics Blog! I’ll start with a Q & A that the MP3 Lunatics have raised time and time again:

Q: Was the Internet designed to be a jukebox?

A: OF COURSE NOT!

The Internet is one of the most revolutionary happenings of our day. I guess you can’t blame the Luddite cartel known as the RIAA for trying to corral this wonderful medium to serve its bidding. Because that’s what cartels do.

With that said, we were lucky the individual RIAA members have proven to be so dysfunctional that the only thing they could agree on is suing their users. Before the cartel can figure out any more big business ways to monopolize the digital music field, something has to be done. Therefore, THE LUNATICS MUST TAKE OVER THE ASLYUM!

Watch and maybe you’ll join the Lunatics as they attempt to construct a Music Lover’s Playground on the World Wide Web.
