Yahoo debunks RIAA’s dream

Yahoo becomes the first to debunk the latest plan of turning the WWW into the RIAA’s celestial jukebox.

The much ballyhooed “subscription model” has been soundly rejected by Yahoo. The Lunatics hope this represents a new search by the WWW superpowers for “Online Music Fun.”

When Yahoo Audio Search and the MP3 Lunatics made their first deal, the Lunatics thought Yahoo had the best sense of the online music landscape.

Years later, Yahoo’s proving it. Quoting Yahoo VP Ian Rogers, “I won’t spend another dime paying engineers to build false control, making listening to music harder for music lovers.”

The Lunatics think this is historic! It’s the first time we have ever heard anyone in the Internet hierarchy concern themselves with music lovers.

Yahoo, we applaud you… but don’t let it go to your head.

This, along with the quickly-growing momentum of protests at U.S. colleges - - PLANETARY REVOLUTION AGAINST THE RIAA!
